Northwest Tennessee CORE values session tonight

I am looking forward to meeting with the pastors in Northwest Tennessee tonight at the Union City church to share the CORE values of the Church of God of Prophecy. These meetings have been a wonderful opportunity to sit with small groups of pastors across the state of Tennessee, ands to helpfully focus on the purpose of our existence as a church movement. If my information is correct, I will have only one more of these meetings face-to-face and then implementation on e state-wide level will begin. I will be announcing a new website for resources for our pastors and ministries. There is a great future head, and I am thrilled to be on this journey with such dedicated servants of the Lord. Together, we can achieve the extraordinary.

Please continue to pray for Isaac

Dear friends, Please help me pray for this very special need. "Isaac is no longer able to talk, or really move on his own. The part of his brain that controls these things was injured during the last aneurysm bleed. This part of the brain is called the basal ganglia. God knows what needs to be healed and I believe HE can heal it. Also they have had to externalize part of the shunt again because it became clogged in his abdomen. PLEASE continue to spread the word that Isaac needs a healing touch from God. Thank you, Charles and April"

Southwest Tennessee Pastors CORE Values Meeting

Tonight I met with the pastors of Southwest Tennessee, where Bishop Robbie Wier serves as the District Presbyter. This meeting was hosted at the Adamsville church, where Bishop Alvin Jones serves as pastor. Like the other meetings across the state, I was blessed to sit with our pastors, who show a remarkable amount of love and concern for the work in their prospective area. Tomorrow night, I will be meeting with the pastors in the Northwest Tennessee area at the Union City church. I am excited about the good things the Lord has in store for our churches in Tennessee.

Liberty Worship Center - Twin Cities

It was a great privilege to minister at the Liberty Worship Center this morning in Twin Cities. I was given such a warm and courteous welcome by Pastor Danny and Sheila Walker and the congregation. Today's was Homecoming and after a great worship service, Randy Crowder ministered in an afternoon singing. I can heartily endorse Randy's ministry, I know he will be a blessing to you. Next meeting is tomorrow night at the Adamsville, Tennessee Church of God of Prophecy with the pastors of the Southwest Tennessee area. In this meeting, I will be sharing our CORE values. I look forward to the opportunity to sit with, share and then pray with our precious pastors.

Liberty Worship Center Homecoming

Tomorrow morning I will be ministering at the Liberty Worship Center in Twin Cities, Tennessee. 2011 Tennessee Marriage Retreat

We are excited to announce the dates for the 2011 Tennessee Marriage Retreat, scheduled for February 11-13, 2011 at the MainStay Suites in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Our theme for this year's retreat is "ENDLESS LOVE," and will highlight the decades of the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. We will be reserving one session of the weekend for you to dress in the era you were married. Hopefully, each couple will dress in "period" clothing from the decade, and you may be able to take advantage of Halloween sales for a costume from that decade. Debra and I already have purchased our costumes from the 1970's and we hope you will too. We are looking forward to you being there, pastors will soon receive applications, and hopefully, we can make registration available online.

SOPAS First Term ends

From Wednesday through Saturday this week, I have been participating in the School of Practical and Advanced Studies at the Alabama Campground located in Green Pond, Alabama. I have been accompanied by our pastor at Lebanon, Bishop Richard Neal, (former District Presbyter) and Bishop Robbie Wier (Abundant Grace-Memphis) and Bishop Clayton Mahan (Ridgely). Bishops Wier and Mahan also serve as District Presbyters in our state. This has been a rich time of development and studies. We've been blessed to sit under the direction of Bishop Mark Menke, who taught the class on Pastoral Leadership Development, and Bishop Adrian Varlack taught Ecclesial Identity and the closing classes were taught by Bishop Dr. Hector Ortiz on the subject of Theology of a Movement. Since this SOPAS was conducted in Alabama, all but the four of us are ministers and leaders in the state of Alabama. A part of the reason for this trip was to participate in this new paradigm of education in the Church of God of

I am happy to report that every pastor was in attendance, along with the District Presbyter, Bishop A.J. Coalter, and Bishop Freddie Harding (neighboring presbyter). One again, I shared our CORE VALUES and tried to define the direction we are going as a movement. I will be meeting with Cleveland area pastors for breakfast this Saturday, but the next VISION meeting will be Monday, September 13, 2010 for the Nashville Area Pastors (At the Lebanon church) and then Tuesday, September 14, 2010 for the White Bluff Area Pastors (At the Crossroads Church). I am excited about what the Lord is doing among us in the State of Tennessee.

TeamUP Conference - Murfreesboro

We are on the countdown, only EIGHT days left for Early Bird TeamUp registrations by September 15th. If there are pastors and their youth and children’s leadership team that simply may not be able to come because of finances, the North American Presbyter is prepared to waive the registration cost provided the registration was received no later than September 15. However, this will ONLY be done for those who inform the State Office of the need first. I still feel that this conference will be of such value to our pastors and team leaders in both youth and children’s ministries that I feel that we need to make every effort possible to encourage our leadership teams to attend.

To Pastor Jones in Florida

To Pastor Jones in Florida....don't be stupid and put American lives in jeopardy so that you can get your fifteen minutes of fame. Instead of pulling a publicity stunt, why not spend all this time and resource on preaching about the LOVE of Jesus Christ. America is NOT about burning books...In Jesus, we have a superior theology and in America a better form of government than most. Get real...don't be a hack.

McMinnville Area Meeting

Special Notice. It appears I may have posted the wrong location for our meeting location for the pastors prayer and share sessions. The meeting for this coming Tuesday evening is scheduled to be at the McMinnville (North Hills) church. Bishop A.J. Coalter will be joining us for this tome of sharing.

West Tennessee Pastors Fellowship

Last night Debra and I were privileged to share a meal and fellowship with our pastors from West Tennessee. All but three were in attendance, and we had a great time together. At the end of the meal and time of sharing, everyone was enjoying the evening so much, no one wanted to leave. We work among wonderful servants of the Lord who, along with their families labor for this great harvest. Often that is not easy because of the circumstances of where they live and minister, yet they continue to work with faithfulness and joy! Thank the Lord for His goodness in the lives of such good people. Our next meeting will be tomorrow morning at the Cookeville church.

Update on Sister Weakley

Many of you have been joining us in prayer for Juanita Weakley. We received word a moment ago that she has received the results of her most recent tests and all of the reports were good. Thank you for your prayers and for the expressions of love and support you send on a regular basis. As always, those prayers are so much appreciated, and it is a joy to see the people's faces when we share that people around the world are praying for their needs. Thank you so much for your love and care!

Isaac Tinch update - Wednesday night

I have taken the following from a Facebook post by April Tinch, Isaac's mother. We were with them for a while today. "Isaac came through the surgery okay. They put a coil in the aneurysm and didn't need the stent. The aneurysm was actually still bleeding a little bit today during the surgery. The surgeon said that if they had done the procedure any other way it would have been catastrophic. So by the grace of God things were done the right way. Once again God has saved Isaac's life today." We rejoice that the Lord has kept His hand on Isaac through all of these emergencies, and we pray He will continue to watch over him. Also, please join me in prayer for the family. You are wonderful people!

Isaac Tinch Update

We are at Vanderbilt hospital right now, Isaac has just come out of surgery and is stable. Please continue to pray. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone Location: Children's Way,Nashville,United States
