NOTE:  Many of you may not know the Gomez family.  George and Mary Gomez are our new pastors at the local church in Lewisburg, Tennessee, Safe Haven Church of God of Prophecy.  Barbara Blakemore is Pastor Mary's sister: Barbara Jean Everhart Blakemore, age 67 of Flint, MI passed away in her sleep on September 1, 2017 in Canton, Mississippi. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred O. and Elbirta Adkins Everhart and two brothers, Raymond Everhart and James Everhart.  Her survivors include two brothers, Arthur Everhart, Canton, MS, Gregory Everhart, TN, two sisters, Brenda A. (Don) Bollinger, Flint, MI, Mary A. (George) Gomez, Lewisburg, TN, sister-in-law, Pat Everhart, OK and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rev. D.W. "Tony" Coile, age 69 of Sevierville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 22, 2017. He was a Vietnam Veteran and worked with the Southern Railroad for sixteen years in Chattanooga. Rev. Coile was a member of the V.F.W. and a retired minister of the Church of God of Prophecy. He loved the Lord and sharing the love of the Lord with others. He was a loving husband, father, "Pa", brother and son. Margie M Bice Mrs. Margie Trivett Bice, age 90, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. A native of Poga, TN she was the daughter of the late (T.L.) Lackey and Oda Guy Trivett. Mrs. Bice was a homemaker and was a teacher during World War II at Elk Mills School and Charity Hill School. She was a member of Heartland Fellowship for sixty-nine years where she served as Church Clerk and Treasurer and leader of the Women’s Missionary Auxiliary for many years. Mrs. Bice enjoyed camping, hiking, sewing, quilting and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Bice; a son, Johnny Bice; sisters, Gladys Lund, Mildred Treadway and Ruby Trivett and brothers, Roy Trivett and Oscar Trivett. I am deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sister Vernetta Reid. Sister Reid served alongside her husband, Bishop Winston Reid most recently at the Wildwood Church in Cleveland, Tennessee.  Her son and his wife, Trevor and Ailene Reid serve as the International Youth Ministries Directors. Brother McKinley, Wanted to let you know about the Death of Sister Virginia (Jean) Martin. She passed this morning shortly after midnight, she was 92 years old and was one, of two of the last surviving charter members of the Shelbyville Church.  Arrangements are as follows, visitation from 3 till 8 pm Friday Oct. 11, and the Funeral will be Saturday Oct.12 at 1 pm. I am sorry to share the news that Sister Avis McDonald passed away from this life on August 12, 2013.  Sister McDonald was licensed as a minister in the Church of God of Prophecy on April 28, 1978 and was faithful until the time of her passing. Visitation will be tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the funeral service tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at the Speck Funeral Home located in Livingston, Tennessee. William R. Nunnery, 87, of Cleveland, TN, died on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Signature Health Care Hospice Facility in Cleveland after a life long fight with diabetes. He was born on October 22, 1925 in Stedman, NC. He was married to Flora Laws for 66 years. They were married in Rossville, GA on September 17, 1946. William served as a minister and Bishop in the Church of God of Prophecy his entire life. He held numerous positions in the church, including as pastor in North Carolina and Maryland, and then as State Overseer in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey and Kansas. His last pastorate was at age 79 for 2 ½ years in Bonnettsville, NC.  William’s only hobby was as an admirer and trader of automobiles and trucks. He is believed to have owned or traded over 100 vehicles in his lifetime and had a very keen memory of each one.  Survivors include his wife, Flora Laws Nunnery of Cleveland; daughter, June Nunnery Metaxas and husband Tassos; dau...
