Tennessee State Men's Retreat Reminder

This weekend men from across Tennessee will gather at Camp Hickory Hills for our annual Men's Retreat. Pastor Mike Jennette and his staff have worked hard to make this a special event for you.

This year's retreat is sure to be a great event, and we are anticipating a good turnout, as men gather for golf, skeet shooting, worship and the word.

Its still not too late if you would like to attend, just contact our State Men's Director, Pastor Mike Jennette by emailing him at empoweredmj@comcast.net.

Also, each man should bring his clubs, shotgun and ammo. Don't forget eye and ear protection and each men's group is asked to bring one box of clays.

Come Down From That Ivory Tower

Hebrews 11 has become known as the "Hall of Faith." The reason is quite simple. The writer spends a great deal of time giving a role call of the heroes of the faith. After all, this chapter is about faith, and what better way to teach faith than to illustrate with some real-life examples. Mos of the people in this chapter are well-known, at least by anyone who spent time squirming in a Sunday School class as a small child, or who watched the late-night movies on the local channels featuring their stories. Who were they? Abel, Enoch and Noah. Abel pleased God with his excellent offering, Enoch was so close to God that he actually walked with God to the point that one evening, while walking God said to Enoch, "we are closer to my house than we are yours, so why don't you just go home with me?" New Pastor Appointment - Peerless Road Church

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Pastor Brian Sutton to serve as the new Senior Pastor of the Peerless Road Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. Brian comes to us from the Cliff Haven Church in Sheffield, Alabama. We welcome Brian and his wife Renee and their two children, their daughter Tayler and their son Will. I know you will give a warm Tennessee welcome to them.
