Death Notice - Lillie Bernice "Bunchie" Jones-Lawson

I am sharing this email from Pastor Shannon Bowdoin of the Bellshire Church in Nashville. Sister Jones-Lawson is the widow of former State Overseer, Bishop L.V. Jones, Sr. and Bishop Raymond Lawson. Her son, Bishop L.V. Jones, Jr. is the Overseer of Alabama, and her daughter is Janice Miller, formerly of the International Offices.


Dear Friends,


It saddens my heart to have to pass on the news that Sis. Lillie Bernice "Bunchie" Jones Lawson has passed away. Her passing was sudden and unexpected and we extend our deepest sympathy to her children and the rest of her extended family. Funeral arrangements are pending and I will provide the schedule of services VIA another email as soon as they are available.

Please be in prayer for the family and her church community as we mourn the loss of this spiritual giant who will be greatly missed.

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services.
