Overseer Update

Many of you follow our blog on a regular basis, and for that I am absolutely thrilled. In the rush of every day life, it is often difficult to continue to share on a regular basis to keep my friends and ministry colleagues updated. TENNESSEE CONVENTION OVER As you know, our convention was a wonderful experience, and I continue to hear kind remarks about the facility, the services and the anointed preaching of the word. Special thanks to all who made the convention a success. We returned home on Sunday night and as could be expected, we were absolutely exhausted. On Monday, the day was spent unpacking and unwinding from the weekend of ministry. As always, there was some work that still needed completion, and I did my best to take care of it. Debra spent time in the office and made sure we were up-to-date on calls and mail. A CALL FROM THE SPIRIT At about 10:00 p.m., the Lord seized my heart that I needed to travel to Lakeland, Florida to pray for our State Bishop and show moral supp...

Special Prayer for Overseer of Cameroon - Bishop Mayeke James

The following prayer alert was just received from the Global Outreach Ministries Department: "Our Cameroon overseer, Bishop Mayeke James, needs your prayer support. He and his family were attacked in their home last night. Bishop Levi Clarke spoke with a contact in Cameroon within the past hour and found that Brother Mayeke sustained serious injuries including a dislocated arm. He and other members of his family are being treated for their injuries in the hospital right now. It does not seem that the injuries are life threatening though they are serious. The thieves stole money that was in the house to be used for ministry needs, cell phones, and other electronics. Do not attempt to call Brother James, but please bombard heaven on his behalf."

Post Convention Update

My dear friends, I know that many of you read this blog on a regular basis, and some have the "RSS" reader feature enabled that informs you of when an update has been made. I want to thank you for your interest in the work of the Church of God of Prophecy in Tennessee, and it's associated ministry endeavors. This post will serve as an update of events since our convention ended on June 12, 2009. To say that we were blessed in our convention would be an understatement. There are no words to describe the Presence of the Lord as the saints gathered from all over the state to worship and fellowship. Friday As the opening day arrived, the Senior Pastors/State Staff and their companions gathered at the convention center for a special appreciate luncheon. As always, this is a highlight for our pastors who love one another and enjoy spending time together. My wife, Debra did an outstanding job of preparation and the meal was fabulous. We were entertained by several video pr...

Deceased Ministers Presentation

Dear friends. This video was shown during our convention this past weekend in Murfreesboro. Unfortunately, there were a couple of photos that did not get added to the final cut because they were received too late. At a future date, these individuals will be added to the presentation and will it will be released here.

Convention has concluded

The Lord showed Himself strong at the Tennessee State Convention. We were blessed with praise and worship sessions, anointed preaching and great crowds. A special thanks to everyone who made this convention a success. We are looking forward with a new paradigm of finding God's will for our lives and our churches. A paradigm rooted in true worship and pentecostal power. May God bless you!

Embassy Suite Rooms

I just learned that four rooms have come available at the host hotel, the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro. I know that some were turned away because the hotel had reached capacity, however, you may contact the hotel directly if you are interested. These are King Bed suites for Friday and Saturday night at the special convention rate. For contact information click here

Message received from Todd Bagley

To all the pastors on our mailing list, I received a phone from a Pastor Holbert Brabson in Chattanooga today. It seems that his organization has had to close two churches in Chattanooga and needs to get rid of some furniture. They have several pulpits, pews, chairs, etc. If you are interested in contacting him, his phone number is 432-643-6140. Feel free to pass this along to any pastors that you think might be interested. This is not a Church of God of Prophecy affiliation, but someone needing to get rid of these items before the property sells. Blessings, Todd Bagley Editorial Assistant/Marketing Coordinator White Wing Messenger

Another LODGING UPDATE

Dear Friends, Today, someone called the office to say that the Embassy Suites reservations department is giving out the wrong information, stating we could increase our block of rooms. I have spoken directly with the director assigned to our convention, and she has informed me that THE HOTEL IS SOLD OUT. An earlier post listed a couple of other options. Please help me get this information out to those who have NOT secured lodging for the convention. We also learned that the Tennessee Special Olympics is also on the same weekend and other hotels are starting to sell out as well.
