Summer has arrived

As I write today, we are making preparation to attend the first of our youth camps, the Senior Camp. We know that the campers and staff are traveling today, and will begin a special time of worship, fellowship and the preaching/teaching of the Word of God to the participants. At these camps, people will make life-time friendships and our local churches will be strengthened. I am especially grateful to Jeff and Kimmy Jones for their hard work in preparation and to all of our directors who make this all happen.

Once the youth camps end, we will be headed straight into the Tennessee State Convention at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Murfreesboro. We will be blessed with the ministry of Dr. Tom Renfro, Evangelist Kay Horner, and Shaun McKinley and a large group of our own ministers and worship leaders.

If you have not secured your room reservation at the Embassy Suites, time is running out and the excess rooms (which is a shrinking amount) will be released and those staying at the Embassy Suites will not receive the special convention rate. To make your reservation go to the following Hilton Honors website: http://embassysuites.hilton.com/en/es/groups/personalized/M/MBTESES-COG-20110714/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG

We look forward to seeing you there.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Raising your Leadership GPA
