Stewardship Ministries Transition

Stewardship Ministries Transition The Stewardship Ministries/Ministerial Services Director will no longer be an appointed position, nor a stand alone department effective September 1, 2012. However, stewardship will continue at all levels in the Church of God of Prophecy. The General Presbyters will fervently be modeling, promoting, and teaching stewardship. The American Funds are outpacing the market and are proven sound investments for long term perspectives such as retirement funds. Our Agent of Record is Kelly Miller. Prayer Request - Ruby Ledford

This morning I drove to Knoxville to visit with the Ledford family as Sister Ruby Ledford underwent surgery. I sat with Bishop Ledford, Pastor Terry Barnwell and Brother and Sister Ledford's daughters while she was in surgery and was happy to hear a good report. About half way through the visit, retired minister, Bishop Edsel Hartman dropped by and we had a wonderful visit.  I enjoyed his sharing of stories from Bible Training Camp, which later became Bible Training Institute and of many of the ministers who were legendary to me as a young minister, and whom I still hold with deep respect.  We have a blessed heritage of which I am so thankful for and and I am thankful the Lord kept His hand on Sister Ledford today.  Please join me in prayer for her quick recovery.

Thanks from Kenya

From Brother Philip Polo (Kenya) Thank you so much for your love offering from the churches in TN at the Assembly. Through the gift, I was able to get two ministers' manual and a Sunday School Commentary that we have been looking for for a couple of months. May God richly bless you and the churches in TN for the support. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
