Update on John Payne

Greetings All,

Well, this has been a whirlwind week and God is so good.

John did well through a lengthy surgery yesterday and
Dr Winger gave us wonderful assurances that all is well.
In surgery they removed about 7-8 inches of colon around
the tumor.

John was up and walking by 11:00 last night and has already
been up twice today to walk around the third floor block.

Thank you for your prayers and love. We have been overwhelmed
by the support and encouragement that has come to us over
the last couple of days. Yesterday several came to pray with us
and several stayed all day to just be with us through this.
We are so blessed to be part of this amazing body of Christ.
We are so blessed to be hidden in the love and care of our
Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for continuing to remember us in prayer and thank
you again for your love and care, both of which are certainly
being experienced.

New Pastor Appointment - Peerless Road Church

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Pastor Brian Sutton to serve as the new Senior Pastor of the Peerless Road Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. Brian comes to us from the Cliff Haven Church in Sheffield, Alabama. We welcome Brian and his wife Renee and their two children, their daughter Tayler and their son Will. I know you will give a warm Tennessee welcome to them.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.
