End of Week Post

Friends,

This week has been one for the record books. We have heard powerful testimonies from across the state of the work God is doing among our people. It has also been a week filled with travel (I know, what's new) that started from going to Cleveland for a meeting with retired General Appointees, to preach at Fields of the Wood on Saturday and attending Father's Day services with my family in Cleveland.

I attended the funeral of Deacon Nelson Yankee (Gallatin) and watched as Pastor Windell Moore did an excellent job. I am always made proud by our pastors who display professionalism with compassion.

With Adminstrative Committee meetings, work for the Assembly Task Force and Youth Camps rounding out the schedule, suffice it to say getting even a little time to post something here has been difficult. The week ended with taking care of State Trustee work with Bishop Leon Graves and Bishop Richard Neal, and enjoying the opportunity to sit with the two of them for about a half and hour and enjoying their fellowship and company.

Today has been filled with preparation for this next week, and I am looking forward to being with the church at McMinnville (Riverside) tomorrow for their homecoming services, and then back for another visit to the Youth Camps.

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services. If your schedule will not permit I understand, but I just wanted you to know. Love you and have a blessed day; Bro. Terry
