Arrowhead Anniversary Church





August 30th, 2009

On August 26th, 1979 the Arrowhead Church congregation moved into their new building located on John Sevier Hwy.

This is a church family with a long and rich history. Beginning at “Wards Chapel”, then moving to the “Vestal Church”, the years are filled with special memories by all who make up the “Arrowhead Church Family”.

You are cordially invited to join with us on Sunday morning August 30th, 2009 in a grand celebration of God’s blessings over the years. The service will start promptly at 9:45am as members of the Old Vestal church choir opens the service with songs from the past! There will be special singing and much reflection upon God’s goodness to this church family.

Lunch will be served following the service where you can visit and enjoy fellowship while you eat.

Special Guest Speakers include; Bishop E.C. McKinley, and Bro. Edsel Hartman. There will be many presentations and testimonies. Pastor Terry Barnwell will give a final challenge entitled;

“Where do we go from here”?

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services. If your schedule will not permit I understand, but I just wanted you to know. Love you and have a blessed day; Bro. Terry
