Gift Cards to Missionaries

Once again this year, the churches of of Tennessee gave a special love offering to help our National Overseers with their expenses while attending the International Assembly.  Special thanks to everyone who worked so hard to share the blessing.

Because of the generosity of the people of Tennessee, we gave each National Overseer/missionary a gift card in the amount of $50 to spend as they desired.  A total of 74 cards were given.  As you might imagine, this is a VERY large amount of money for these Gospel ministers and they were delighted to receive them.

There was a common question asked by the recipients, "Tennessee is not hosting the International Assembly, why are you doing this?"  Each time I explained to them, "because the people of Tennessee love you."  There were tears and embraces from the missionaries and I wish those of you who gave could have seen their faces.

Once again, your generosity is so appreciated and you have touched the lives of people you may never see, and those who will never be able to do anything in return.  I am so privileged to work with such wonderful people.  May God bless you.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.
