Warning...NOT for the faint of heart

When will it happen?  When will the church wake up to realize that we stand on the precipice of total disaster.  Evil men (and women) have crept in aware and have preached ANOTHER GOSPEL.  It is a gospel that appeals to the flesh and subjugates men and women of God to the whims and desires of less-than-spiritual people.

As I travel throughout the land I am reminded of my travels in Europe some thirty-years-ago.  In many of the cities the churches have become museums and monuments to men and women of by-gone days.  With their ornate architecture and polished floors and furniture, they really are something to see.  The steeples once were to tallest buildings in the city...a testimony that God is above all human effort and the ONLY hope for mankind.  Now?  Well, now they stand in the shadows of skyscrapers dedicated to unbridled capitalism.

As I travel throughout Central and South America, I see mosques popping up, standing as the tallest structures in some cities.  Even after a long court battle, in my own State of Tennessee a very large mosque is now open in the city of Murfreesboro...a city that is the geographical center of my state.

We are told to sit down and shut up.  We are told to not pray in public...not at schools, not at governmental buildings and God forbid you should try to preach a sermon on a street corner.  In a land with the First Amendment of the Constitution guaranteeing the right to worship as you wish...more and more roadblocks to the Gospel are being thrown in our paths.  Whether it is the need for permits to preach in public, or choking city, county and state codes when you try to build a new facility.  Too many of the government agencies use the law of eminent domain to just take what they want...not just from citizens, but ESPECIALLY the church.

All the while, preaching name it and claim it, blab it and grab it, sow it and mow it, confess and possess it so that you will be rich!  Oh, I almost forgot, it ALL starts when you send YOUR money to them so they can fly first class, stay in five-star hotels and eat duck dinners....after all, they are "entitled," because they are teaching you great faith.

Don't get me wrong.  I believe that if you have faith, God answers prayer...but I don't think He intended His word to be manipulated by huckster "Elmer Gantry" types who think that gain is godliness.

ENOUGH!

God is bringing judgement to this world...and He will start with the church.  IT IS TIME FOR REVIVAL!  WAKE UP CHURCH!

Come Down From That Ivory Tower

Hebrews 11 has become known as the "Hall of Faith." The reason is quite simple. The writer spends a great deal of time giving a role call of the heroes of the faith. After all, this chapter is about faith, and what better way to teach faith than to illustrate with some real-life examples. Mos of the people in this chapter are well-known, at least by anyone who spent time squirming in a Sunday School class as a small child, or who watched the late-night movies on the local channels featuring their stories. Who were they? Abel, Enoch and Noah. Abel pleased God with his excellent offering, Enoch was so close to God that he actually walked with God to the point that one evening, while walking God said to Enoch, "we are closer to my house than we are yours, so why don't you just go home with me?" Of course, Noah built an ark (according to God's instructions) that saved mankind from total destruction. Then there was Abraham...the father of the faithful. He...

New Church Organized

It is always a tremendous thrill to announce the establishment of a new church. This post shares a little about our latest. On January 30, 2011 I met with the people of the Capilla De La Victoria (Victory Chapel) in Cleveland, Tennessee for the purpose of organizing and establishing what had been a mission work for well over two years. Previously, this group had met under the direction of Cliff Anderson in a part of the Peerless Road Complex. Pastor Tim Coalter (now State Presiding Bishop of South Carolina) shared with the congregation a vision of that local church planting two churches in the United States. We then joined in a partnership with the Tennessee State Office to share in the cost of rent and other needs for a period of two years. Since the inception of the idea, there were several changes. Pastor Cliff Anderson felt the need of a change and Pastor Tim Coalter was appointed to serve in another ministry. At this time Omar Velazquez agreed to assume the leadership of th...
