Hansel Ray Funeral

Today, I joined with others at the Robert's Tabernacle church to attend the funeral services of Bishop Hansel Ray, who passed away earlier this week.

I was really proud of our ministers who conducted the funeral services. Pastor Tim McCaleb, Pastor Thomas Hale and Pastor David Prince all shared about the life and ministry of this wonderful minister of the gospel. I came to the same conclusion as they all did, that we are indeed blessed to have be the recipients of the ministry of such as wonderful man as Hansel Ray.

It was good to see other ministers at the services, among them the District Presbyter, Bishop F. Leon Graves.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ray family.

New Pastor Appointment - Peerless Road Church

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Pastor Brian Sutton to serve as the new Senior Pastor of the Peerless Road Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. Brian comes to us from the Cliff Haven Church in Sheffield, Alabama. We welcome Brian and his wife Renee and their two children, their daughter Tayler and their son Will. I know you will give a warm Tennessee welcome to them.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.
