Dickson Area Pastor's Fellowship

As I write, Debra and I have stopped at the Starbuck's in Cookeville for a cup of coffee. We are on our way to another District meeting, this one to be held at Lawrence Chapel in Crossville tonight.

I thought I would take an opportunity to write something quickly so that I wouldn't miss posting today (I really want to post something every day) and I know that we will not get home until after midnight tonight.

This morning, Debra and I visited with the pastors and their spouses at the Crossroads church (for Districts 11-12-13) for a time of discussion and fellowship. We had a great meal furnished by our District Presbyter and his wife Pat. It was excellent!

After the meal the time of fellowship was great and there was a lot of discussion on a number of topics.

We are so grateful to get to spend time with the precious ministry teams of Tennessee! God bless.

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services.
