Helen Burton Visitation/Funeral

After visiting the Hartsville church on Sunday morning, I traveled to Dickson for the visitation services of Helen Burton, Pastor Mike Burton's mother.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Gigi (Cummings) Kay come in for visitation along with local church folks.

This afternoon, I attended the funeral services, where Pastor Mike Burton gave a moving testimony of his mother's devotion and love, and Pastor Terry Swaw delivered the message. I was so proud of both of them as they comported themselves with great dignity.

At the end of the funeral, I found myself on the road again, traveling to Cleveland for meetings tomorrow.

I would certainly appreciate your prayers for strength and travel mercies. God bless

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services. If your schedule will not permit I understand, but I just wanted you to know. Love you and have a blessed day; Bro. Terry
