Lawrence Chapel

This morning, Debra and I were blessed to be with the church at Lawrence Chapel. Brother and Sister Gulledge and the congregation made us feel so special and welcome, and treated us to a nice lunch in their home.

It was also a special surprise to have our District Presbyter, Dr. Freddie Harding there, along with the General Presbyter of Europe, the CIS and the Middle East, Bishop Clayton Endicott with us for worship services. Brother Harding greeted the congregation, then Bishop Endicott, and I was privileged to bring the message.

After lunch, Debra and I travelled to Cleveland for the visitation services for Bishop Leonard Kendrick who passed away this week. There was a very large crowd at the visitation services. We will be attending the funeral services tomorrow morning, then returning to the office.

I am constantly amazed by the love and kinship in our fellowship, and the amazing spiritual quality of our people. We are blessed.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.
