As our minds are renewed by the Word of God, we begin to see subtle changes in our behaviors. There are some things that just don't seem right to us anymore. Maybe places we used to go don't seem as interesting, or activities we have participated in seems to have lost some of its appeal. Our spirit within us is become alive again to the Voice of God as He speaks to our conscience. We know that there are just some things we cannot do and places we cannot go because it would displease our Lord.
With these subtle changes, we begin to notice the friction between us and others. We pretend we don't know why, but the truth is that an offense has taken place at some point or another. This is not your mind playing tricks on you, it is the Word of God taking root in your life. You are a changed person. The Fire of God that fell on the altar you built has had a lasting affect on you.
Because the Holy Spirit is now touching our hearts and our minds, we know things need to be corrected, or as we say it in Tennessee, you know you have to "get right" with God and man. This is where the principle of restitution comes into play.
When we know there is a wrong...we need to make it right. Chapter 19 of the Book of Luke (in the New Testament) tells the story about a man by the name of Zacchaeus who understood this principle. He had wronged people in His life, but one he actually was able to see Jesus (although he had to climb a tree) his life was changed. He told Jesus, "Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold." (Luke 19:9-10)
I love the answer Jesus gave him, He said, "This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost." (Luke 19:9-10)
As we continue into Day Eleven of Seeking, we must allow the Holy Spirit to touch our lives and bring to our minds the things that must be made right, then, we must do as the Spirit directs us.
