Day Four of Seeking

“Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done.” (Matthew 6:10)

This is often said easily, but more difficult to practice.  We say that we want what God has for us, but this task can become extremely difficult when it takes us on a path we don’t want to travel…or requires of us something we just don’t want to do.

As we continue to seek His face, we understand the total inability to save ourselves, and we understand there is no help for us outside of the Lord.  We want His help, we crave His Presence and we desire to be better people…but oh the struggle we have!  I find that even when I would do good, evil is present (Romans 7:21).

Recognizing our total dependence on His grace…our total inability to save ourselves…our lack of ability to live the life, we must submit to the arrival of His Kingdom in our life!  We must submit ourselves much like the drowning person submits to the strength and skill of the rescuer.

When His Kingdom comes and His will is done, it will include sweet fellowship with the Maker of the Universe…it will include the Presence of the Holy Spirit and it will give us the victory.

I heard that the COGOP officials were meeting in upper room all night tonight for prayer. I wanted to ask sincerely if you all could call our son, LEE COLLINS', name out in prayer? He is 19 yrs old & desperately lost in sin. He's been a Christian but when he left, he left hard. Is denying there's a heaven & hell. Has at one time claimed to be agnostic. Been in drugs, drinking, & all kinds of bad stuff, including bad spiritual things. Only God can break the demonic strongholds on Lee's life. My husband & I are fasting for him now & have been praying for him for awhile. Nothing is impossible w/ God! Not even Lee! Please pray for God's mercy & grace upon our son & that Lee will give his life to God COMPLETELY & FOREVER! Never to turn back! Thank you!

Come Down From That Ivory Tower

Hebrews 11 has become known as the "Hall of Faith." The reason is quite simple. The writer spends a great deal of time giving a role call of the heroes of the faith. After all, this chapter is about faith, and what better way to teach faith than to illustrate with some real-life examples. Mos of the people in this chapter are well-known, at least by anyone who spent time squirming in a Sunday School class as a small child, or who watched the late-night movies on the local channels featuring their stories. Who were they? Abel, Enoch and Noah. Abel pleased God with his excellent offering, Enoch was so close to God that he actually walked with God to the point that one evening, while walking God said to Enoch, "we are closer to my house than we are yours, so why don't you just go home with me?" Of course, Noah built an ark (according to God's instructions) that saved mankind from total destruction. Then there was Abraham...the father of the faithful. He
