Day Three of Seeking

As we begin to see ourselves through God's eyes, a certain humility is forced upon us. Suddenly we realize how small we are in relation to time and eternity...we realize the utter helpless state we find ourselves. Outside of God's grace, we cannot save ourselves (Ephesians 2:9-10). We suddenly recognize that are own righteousness is like a filthy rag (Isaiah 59-1-2) good for nothing but to be thrown away.

We recognize that even when we would do good...evil is present. Alone and without the ability to saves ourselves...we turn to God with our whole heart....Lord save me, for I cannot save myself...and I am lost without You.

The words of your statement are so true. They make me think of a song I've sang many times, without Him I could do nothing, without Him I'd surely fail, without Him I would be drifting like a ship without sail.
As we fast and pray seeking God, our bodies begin to scream, gimme, gimme
gimme. All the sudden we realize, hey I'm not all that I claim to be. We can't reach our full potential in God's purpose for our lives. Until we realize that we are totally dependent on Him.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services. If your schedule will not permit I understand, but I just wanted you to know. Love you and have a blessed day; Bro. Terry
