Just the GUYS

On Friday night, I was privileged to attend the first annual "JUST THE GUYS" retreat at Camp Hickory Hills.  The worship session was led by Jacob Young and then Deputy Sheriff Kerry Golub fromt he Sumner County Sheriff's Office gave a great testimony to the young men.  He was a special blessing.

I was able to share a thought from 2 Timothy 4 about the types of characteristics godly men should have:

A commitment to:

Duty
Honor
Loyalty
Courage

I had to leave early this morning to get to Cleveland for an early afternoon birthday party for my friend, Roberta Matthews.  It was such a joy to see her, her family and several of the "legends" of my early ministry.  God is good to us, He is faithful, and I thank the Lord for safe travels.

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services.
