GET REAL!


We are so thrilled to hear all of the good reports coming in from across Tennessee about the girls retreat that was held last weekend.  The staff did an absolutely wonderful job of ministering to the young ladies that registered and attended, and they helped to make them feel special...because they are!
We face new challenges in the 21st Century, but we are up to the task of instilling the principles and precepts of God's Word into their lives.  In a proper cultural context, we minister to them where they are at...not an imaginary world...hence the title, GET REAL.  We believe in the youth and children of our church and are committed to reaching this young harvest all around us.
Once again...great job!

After all, this chapter is about faith, and what better way to teach faith than to illustrate with some real-life examples. Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services. If your schedule will not permit I understand, but I just wanted you to know. Love you and have a blessed day; Bro. Terry
