Today, I attended the funeral services for Bishop Buford Johnson in Cleveland, Tennessee. As I mentioned in earlier posts, he made a great impression on my life. He encouraged me to attend college during my first months as a pastor, and then helped me during the first three months of transition.
I was so blessed by his ministry and influence.
Pastor John A. Stone, Claxton Cook (Mississippi), Retired Overseer Richard E. Davis and James Wallace (Alabama) officiated the service, and each one did an excellent job. Again, I am thankful to be a minister in the Church of God of Prophecy and serve among such men.
Please join me in prayer for the Johnson family.
