Baggetts Chapel holds first service in new building

BAGGETTS CHAPEL IN CUNNINGHAM HAD OUR FIRST SERVICE AND OPEN HOUSE IN OUR NEW 6,000 SQ. FT. BUILDING,

Sunday August 12th.

This was phase one of their building program. Phase two will include a 5000 sq. ft. sanctuary (the slab is already in place for this). Phase three will be a 5,000 sq. ft. gym (this is just in the site plan of the building program and will be built as God directs)..

Wing of Faith from Murfreesboro was with us and recorded a live CD. God blessed us with 175 in attendance for morning worship with another 89 coming in from area churches for our open house at 12:30.

The key word here is OPEN.
Open house – Everyone is Welcome in this place.
We extend to Open arms – We care about people and their needs
Open minds – we don’t have an agenda - God rules –
This is an act of faith
We have plans but our plans are OPEN to change as God leads.

Open Vision – The future is as bright as the SON as God open doors we are going follow.

Serving God is an adventure. Have you notice that He is as concerned about the journey as He is the destination. It is on the trip that He makes us into what he wants us to be.
You will notice from the pictures, we are not done yet. We are going forward as God permits. A wise steward doesn’t over extend. But, faith isn’t faith if everything you need is in our hand.
We are trusting God and moving forward with Him.

What do you see!!
There is a 6,000 sq. ft. building here
I see a place for needy souls to come to be filled, have needs met and to receive ministry
There is a slab for a 5000 sq ft new church out there. ---------
I see a new sanctuary

There are 133 parking places ----- The are not all graveled much less paved. -- I see adequate parking for each building

There is a 40 x 110 sq ft patch of dirt behind this building between the side walks -----
I see a playground for the little ones where they can play after church without crossing a parking lot or drive

There is an area Parallel to this building ---------
I see a 100 x 50 sq ft gym.
There is a wooded area by the creek on Logan Rd
I see open pits and a picnic area.

This is just a place to do ministry.
That is what the building program is about! That is what we are about!
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
The harvest is white, we are praying for new ministries and workers.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Raising your Leadership GPA

Please note the upcoming seminar taught by Pastor Gary Lanley from Hawaii. Here is his description of the seminar: "Leadership Training Seminar The weekend before the General Assembly, Bishop Gary Langley, Pastor of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Windward Worship Center, will be teaching a 3-session leadership training seminar at Sonbright Christian Center, hosted by Pastor R.C. (Chip) Meadows. A lot of the materials I use are from some intensive training I received from Don Cousins. Come Down From That Ivory Tower

Hebrews 11 has become known as the "Hall of Faith." The reason is quite simple. The writer spends a great deal of time giving a role call of the heroes of the faith. After all, this chapter is about faith, and what better way to teach faith than to illustrate with some real-life examples. Mos of the people in this chapter are well-known, at least by anyone who spent time squirming in a Sunday School class as a small child, or who watched the late-night movies on the local channels featuring their stories. Who were they? Abel, Enoch and Noah. Abel pleased God with his excellent offering, Enoch was so close to God that he actually walked with God to the point that one evening, while walking God said to Enoch, "we are closer to my house than we are yours, so why don't you just go home with me?" Of course, Noah built an ark (according to God's instructions) that saved mankind from total destruction. Then there was Abraham...the father of the faithful. He...
