Assembly Business Sessions

One of the many calls that I receive deals with the schedule for the assembly business sessions. If you would like to see the items of business ahead of time, you can go to the website for the Biblical Doctrine and Polity Committee, and download the items to be presented. You can go there by CLICKING HERE.

Remember, on Monday, beginning at 9:00 a.m., August 21, 2006 an open discussion of the reports will begin. While this is primarily geared toward ministers, it is open to anyone to attend.

The actual business sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in the morning and evening sessions and on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. You are invited to attend.

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services. If your schedule will not permit I understand, but I just wanted you to know. Love you and have a blessed day; Bro. Terry
