General Assembly Preparations

Today, I have spent most of the day in pre-assembly task force meetings. We had a final walk through of the Gaylord Convention Center and the Nashville Convention Center in preparation for the crowd that will be here for our Bi-annual meeting.

I learned today that we are way above the previous years on hotel room rental, which means we are expecting a larger than usual crowd for the Assembly. I'm sure that this is the result of several things.

1. The selection of a General Overseer
2. Business sessions.
3. The fact that we are in Nashville for the meeting.

An interesting note is that I have been receiving a lot of inquiries on several subjects, such as accomodations and parking. Amazingly enough, we have been receiving a lot of inquiries about where the closest Cracker Barrel is!

We are getting excited about the assembly being here and we are hoping you are making plans to be here.

Please continue to help us pray for the blessings of the Lord on our gathering. God bless you and thanks for stopping by today.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services. If your schedule will not permit I understand, but I just wanted you to know. Love you and have a blessed day; Bro. Terry
