Huntingdon Homecoming

The Walker Family, of Perry, Florida will be the guest ministers and singers at the Huntingdon Church of God of Prophecy annual Homecoming on October 29, 2006 beginning at 10:30 am. There will be worship, giving, singing, gospel ministry, in word and song. The Walkers are a prominent gospel group from Perry, Florida and they minister with great spirit and fervency. There will be a special time of honoring Bishop Omer Lawson who was very involved and instrumental in the establishing of the Churc of God of Prophecy in Huntingdon.

NOTE: There will be no singing after dinner and no evening service.

Prayer Request

Yesterday and today have been filled with non-stop preparations and meetings for the General Assembly. The State/National Overseers will be traveling to begin meeting this week in Nashville. Will you please join me in prayer for travel mercies for all of those on their way to Nashville? Also, Sister Wilma Massengale is still in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. This precious lady and her family need our prayer support, and I hope you will join me in prayer for them, believing the Lord is able to meet their need.

Death Notice - Clara McMahan

I AM SHARING A NOTICE I JUST RECEIVED FROM PASTOR TERRY BARNWELL (KNOXVILLE- ARROWHEAD) Hi Brother; I pray your day is going along well. I wanted to let you know of the passing of Sister Clara McMahan this morning. Her husband Claude has served as deacon for over 52 years at the Arrowhead church. This wonderful lady has touched thousands of lives across Tennessee. She is the sister of Charlie Weaver. The day you and Sister McKinley were with us on the Home Coming Sunday if you remember the youth presented this couple with a light house they had built for them. Sister Clara will be greatly missed greatly. I will let you know the arrangements when I get them if you wished to attend the services.
