Church to Host Southern Gospel Concert With The Walkers

Nashville – Bellshire Church of God of Prophecy will host a special concert with the Walkers, Wednesday, November 1st at 7 PM.

The Walkers, comprised of a brother, sister and their mother, lend their special family harmony to many old southern gospel favorites as well as newer songs and original material. Originally from Florida, The Walkers have been in music evangelism since 1991 and have held more than 2000 concerts all over the U.S., including Alaska, Maine, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and Texas. Their song “He’s the Shepherd” has been on the southern gospel charts in Europe. Visit their website at www.walkerministries.com.

The concert is free to the public, but an offering will be received so the group can continue their ministry.

The church is located at 1268 Old Hickory Blvd, just west of Dickerson Pike in the Bellshire area of Nashville. Call 615-868-3293 for directions or more information.

Come Down From That Ivory Tower

Hebrews 11 has become known as the "Hall of Faith." The reason is quite simple. The writer spends a great deal of time giving a role call of the heroes of the faith. Pastor Tim Coalter (now State Presiding Bishop of South Carolina) shared with the congregation a vision of that local church planting two churches in the United States. We then joined in a partnership with the Tennessee State Office to share in the cost of rent and other needs for a period of two years. Since the inception of the idea, there were several changes. Pastor Cliff Anderson felt the need of a change and Pastor Tim Coalter was appointed to serve in another ministry. At this time Omar Velazquez agreed to assume the leadership of th...
